China Rice Bowl

China Rice Bowl for dinner. The house special rice bowl. It really wasn't very good. Maybe I ordered the real thing -- if I stopped ordering the deep fried stuff it would at least be healthier.

I was looking for Steaks R Us but hunger won out over continued searching.

Tommy Bahama

Taking a day to pretend to be Scottsdale resort people, my dad, sister, and I lunched at Tommy Bahama. My salad was absolutely delicious, and the resort atmosphere was fun. A vacation in a day.

Corn dog, corn, fries, and a scarily instant brownie. Water. I really like corn dogs. Better with ketchup, but I didn't find any around. Used to have some ketchup packets from some prior fast food run, must be out. Frozen meals on sale this month at Safeway for a dollar, incidentally.

Potluck lunch

Potluck lunch at Unicon. The meatballs were especially delicious. Lots of good veggies. I brought potato salad, which had the nice properties of being socially acceptable and commoditized for puchasing in tub quantities.

Leftovers for dinner

Leftover tortellini and water. Basic and yummy.

Coffee, Carnation instant breakfast, and cereal

Found a random piece of broken glass in my carpet. Must be from that glass I broke a week ago or so; I sure had thought I'd cleaned it up. I hope this is the last of it. Dad's always warning me of the dangers of broken glass, and I'd have to admit I never really believed him, probably because I've handled a fair amount of broken glass thusfar in my life and managed not to get hurt. Not this time: fingers bleeding all over the place. Apparently I do not own any bandages, so I'm holding out till 8:30 when the apartment office opens and I'll prevail upon them to lend me one.

Todo: purchase bandages.

Turkey sandwiches

Healthy choice turkey lunchmeat on wheat bread with tomato and spinach leaves for lunch. Somehow left me still hungry so followed up with a fudge brownie from the vending machine later.

Kashi breakfast

Bowl of Kashi cereal with milk for breakfast, with a couple mugs of decaf Berres Brothers French Caramel Cream coffee.

Fat Burger

Fat Burger and chocolate milkshake for dinner after happy hour (Blue Moon) for MB's transfer to the downtown office. Met a random single mom while waiting for the food and we had a nice chat about moving to Phoenix, the real estate industry, the blasted heat of the summer, and things to do in Phoenix.

By and large the people are so friendly here.
